IBRR held an all-faculty meeting for the fall 2020 semester

On the morning of Friday, September 11, 2020, the Fall 2020 faculty and staff meeting was held in Conference Room 203 of the North Building of the IBRR (the building where the Brain Imaging Center is located). President Prof. WENG Xuchu, Vice President Prof. CHEN Qi, Vice President Prof. Zeng Lizhang, and more than 30 faculty and staff members attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Prof. CHEN Qi, Vice President of the IBRR.

At the meeting, Vice President Prof. ZENG Lizhang reported the progress made by the IBRR in the first half of the year, mainly on the size of the faculty and students and the progress of the construction of the research platform to all faculty and staff, and welcomed the new faculty and staff to join. Since 2019, the IBRR has continuously improved the basic conditions of research and actively promoted the construction of the research platform project, which has completed the upgrade of Siemens MRI equipment 3.0T Prisma-fit system, the renovation of TMS laboratory, and the construction of high-performance data storage service period server room to provide strong support for the development of the discipline.

In terms of scientific research, President Prof. WENG Xuchu introduced the current research directions and team building directions of the IBRR. Prof. WENG pointed out, the IBRR will continue to expand cooperation with clinical institutions, integrate multiple advantageous resources, strengthen external scientific research and business cooperation, and strive to achieve the goal of cultivating high-level talents at the intersection of natural sciences and medicine.

The meeting condensed the cohesion of the whole faculty and staff development consensus, to further enhanced the belief of all staff to overcome difficulties. The participating teachers provided valuable suggestions for the development of scientific research of the IBRR. We believe that with the joint efforts from all staff in the new semester, the IBRR will move towards a higher, stronger and more excellent goal.
