Dr. Yanmei Liu received her M.D. from the medical school of Peking University, her Ph.D. in Biology from National University of Singapore. She then obtained her postdoctoral training in the medical school of Dresden University of Technology in Germany. She joined the faculty as an Associate Investigator at the Institute of Molecular Medicine, Peking University from 2013 to 2018. Since September 2018, she has been a Principal Investigator at the Institute of Brain Research and Rehabilitation, South China Normal University. Her research interests include pancreatic beta cell development and regeneration, mechanism and therapy study of Early-onset epileptic encephalopathies.
